PBSM is implemented as a handheld, job list architecture. Job list itself is being printed with a 2D barcode that stores the patient ID, task should be taken and all the contents for label printing at the server of the existing patient system. Such system allows operators to verify the patient by scanning the barcode on the patient's wrist band and the 2D barcode on the job list. The system will verify the scanned data and print out a label if the verification is successes, otherwise the handheld will vibrate and warning message will be prompted.
