A distributed management system for power distribution and supervision based on the M2M technology.
With the development towards informatization, intelligence, and networks, the management over electricity power as a very pivotal engineering application for the electricity industry has been developing rapidly. “New countryside, new electricity power, and new services” is the overall strategy of the State Grid Corporation of China in the next 5~10 years.
The construction of electricity grid in rural areas takes up 40% of funds invested in the overall construction of electricity grids, and those funds approach to US$54 billion. The M2M solution can help the State Grid to monitor and manage the electricity system all over the country.
To ensure the complete and effective distribution of electricity power, it is necessary to monitor the work status of respective base power stations. However, it consumes large manpower and material resources to dispatch workers and conduct on-site monitoring. while there exists a large number of hidden troubles threatening the security. So long as sensors, data extraction modules and wireless transmission modules are installed in respective base power stations, it will be possible to realize long-distance monitoring and it will be possible to find out any failure in time and get it solved in time. Thus, both manpower and material resources will be saved while the work will be more efficient.
By means of the GPRS/CDMA wireless public networks and electricity load communication terminals installed at clients’ end, it is possible to adopt the APN of China Mobile or China Unicom or the Internet public network, have access to data from terminals, to conduct real time monitoring and control over the status of clients’ electricity usage through the internet, while analyzing, adding up and processing data extracted. Comprehensive monitoring, control, and management over the supply and use of electricity power can be realized with various functions including long-distance meter reading, concentrative meter reading, alerts triggering for electricity abnormal usage. Characteristics of the system:
- Data collection
- Remote monitoring and management over the supply and distribution of electricity power
- Remote warnings and monitoring against theft
