RFID handhelds guide your Shanghai Expo tour
26 Jul 2010

The 2010 World Expo has started in Shanghai that will last for another 6 months with each pavilion featuring its own attractions. In the Information and Communications Pavilion (ICP), an RFID system has been deployed offering visitors personalised information and submit their feedback, according to the article.

Visitors of the ICP pavilion are being asked to input their name and contact information at the information communications terminal (ICT), which is RFID embedded and an RFID tag is distributed to each visitor. ICT provides an electronic tour and navigation guide by locating the visitor with the RFID signal strength, thus directing the visitor via an interactive display or kiosk.
