University medical center to install largest RFID locating system

United States’ largest healthcare real-time locating system is to be deployed at the Ohio State University Medical Center, the installation will commence in late January 2010. The project will cover more than 5 million sq feet including approximately 40 buildings, said the article.
According to the project representative, the first phase of the installation consists of around 1,000 asset tags and 15,000 tags to identify assets, patients and staff. Business analytics will also be conducted based on the location information.
