A renowned industry research firm, RNCOS, has recently released a report called ‘Global Biometric Forecast’, in which it expects an annual growth of 22% from year 2010 through 2012 in the Middle East and Northern Africa regions, said the article. This figure exceeds the global industry growth of 18% in the same period of time.
According to the report, the high growth rate mainly benefits from the higher levels of willingness of biometric technology acceptance in the Gulf region. However, the report also indicates certain factors that may restrain future growth, such as regional growth rate.
