A new RFID-enabled anti-wandering system has just been released in the market. This device aims to help families to track relatives, such as elders and children at risk of wandering away.
The system comprises RFID-enabled wristband and a door alarm system which contains an RFID interrogator. According to the article, the wristband is embedded with a motion detector and battery that allows it to operate for approximately three years. When an individual wearing a wristband leaves the reader’s reception area, an alarm will sound, warning that someone has wandered away.
