A French clothing manufacturer with jeans as their core product line, has deployed RFID technology at its retail store aiming to improve sales performance and improve customer relations.
Each salesperson at the shop carries a handheld RFID reader to interrogate the RFID tags attached on the garments, thus reducing the time required to manually run through the inventory for different size and color. The RFID system spares salesperson with more time to communicate with customers, in which the manufacturer believes can in turn benefit the overall sales.
