A measure of technological success

At RCG, we do not measure technology success level with the length of the software code we wrote, nor how many printed circuit boards we designed for a specific application.  A way we measure the success of technology is the way it empowers people to do what they want to do, enable new learning since previously they didn’t think they are able to do the work without the technology and improve productivity.  In other words, technology is only good when the user is willing to use it and happy to do so, obviously because of the benefits it brings to the user.  In the case when the technology is adopted by a large institution or corporation, it becomes the technology provider’s success.  In the case when it is adopted and used by national-scale institution, it becomes a national pride.

In less than four years entering PRC market, RCG’s self-developed RFID solutions were widely praised, voted the best technology and most innovative, awarded recognitions and most importantly, adopted by national institutions and corporations.  RCG recently achieved high ranking in RFIDinfo website 2009 Annual China RFID Industry Ranking including RCG ranked 2nd on “Corporate RFIDinfo Big Thumb Award”, “RCG Data Centre Management Solution for Bank Application”, which was successfully implemented in Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and China Construction Bank, was ranked 1st under the “Pioneer Application” category and “RCG RFID Data Centre Management Solution” ranked top 5th under the “Best RFID Products” category.  RCG also included as one of the top most influential foreign companies in PRC in the RFID field by RFIDworld, a premier website acting as premier RFID-related platform in PRC. 

Recently, RCG’s self developed RFID solution for manufacturing and logistics industry were adopted as teaching and laboratory materials by Tsinghua University in Beijing, a national university ranked first in PRC and ranked within top 50 globally.  The Department of Industrial Engineering of Tsinghua University sees the importance of adopting successful technologies which are highly practical and carry high potential development in the industry and values RCG’s RFID solution to be able to fulfill those criteria.

The awards and recognitions speak for themselves in positioning RCG RFID solutions as truly successful ones.  Those recognitions are important to us, not only to enhance our brand, but also to show how our technology applications have touched everyday life in national scale implementations.  As for us, let us continue with our work to develop technology applications which will change the way people live and work, which people are happy to adopt those.
